In June of 1835, Louis Coblitz began studying at the Art Academy in Munich. By late August of the same year, he set off on a journey from Bavaria to the Tyrol and took quarter there in the small village of Fügen. On many of his drawings, Coblitz devotes his study to the populace and their everyday life.
