After an initial engagement with floral still-lifes in the 1930’s, Gabriele Münter renewed her dedication to these motifs around 1950. Now, however, she made use of a variety of techniques in her depictions.
In these works, she preferred to arrange multiple pots and vases, which she filled with coloured plants and placed in front of a white background.
